We had a great time during our two-night stay. We booked a triple room, which had all the basic amenities we needed like central heating, an iron, and a coffee/tea maker. ☕.

I had a wonderful stay at L'Auberge De La Foret. the warm welcome from Dom made me feel right at home. the landhouse is charming and cozy, with beautifully renovated rooms. I especially loved the lovely terrace and the super comfortable, clean room. As an animal lover, it was a bonus for me to see their friendly cats and dogs roaming around in their happy environment. the location is perfect for exploring the Vendee region and for peaceful forest walks. the staff were incredibly friendly and the bar and restaurant were very convenient. the standout feature of this auberge was definitely the food. Dom and his assistant chef prepared two memorable dinners and the breakfast was delicious. a great place to stay!
All good 😊.

Oh, and did I mention the joy of driving alone in the pitch-dark surroundings? Definitely not for the faint-hearted!

The food was outstanding, with two memorable dinners and a really good breakfast. the location was peaceful, situated in the forest with no disturbance from passing vehicles. - the room was large, clean, and comfortable.
The presence of animals in the restaurant area may disappoint those who are not fond of cats and dogs.
